4. Quiz

The final step is to LOAD this quiz with the applicable questions from the Bank.

First, verify that:

Your questions in a Category in your Question Bank
You've added a quiz (Add an Activity or Resource > Quiz)

BASIC STEPS

Select "Edit Quiz" using either the button or the dropdown settings wheel.

2. Click "Add"

3. Choose "from Question Bank"

4. Find the category that you housed your questions within.

*Remember that the number in parenthesis shows how many questions are in that category.

5. Click the checkbox next to the 'T' to select all questions.

6. "Add selected questions to the quiz"

Your quiz is now complete and ready for students!

ADVANCED OPTIONS

Can I shuffle question order?

By default, question order is NOT shuffled. This means every has the same question appearing first. If you want to shuffle the question order so that 'my Question 1' is 'your Question 3,' click the checkbox for "Shuffle" within the Edit Quiz screen appearing above the added quiz questions.

Can I shuffle answers within a question?

Yes. By default, this is already enabled so that 'my answer B' is 'your answer D' and 'another students' answer A. ' If you need to turn this off for a particular quiz (for example if you need the answer order to match an audio recording of that quiz), that can be adjusted within the Quiz Settings within the "Question Behavior" toggle. Change "Shuffle within questions" to "No." See more information here.

Is it possible to have turn off the answer shuffling on just one question in a quiz?

Rather than turning off the Shuffle Answers setting on the whole quiz, you can turn on that setting on any particular question. To do so, click on the settings wheel for that question, then uncheck "shuffle the choices?"

This might be useful if you have a "Choose which apply" type of question with "All of the above" as your Answer Choice D. If the answers that were shuffled for this question, "All of the above" might instead appear as students Answer A, B, C, etc.
You could also adjust the answer to say "All answers are correct" so that you could still use the shuffle option.

Can I preview the quiz?

Once you quiz is built, you can preview it to see the student experience. To do so, click on the quiz title from your homepage. On the embedded settings wheel for the quiz, select Preview.
